Kindergarten Owlets

Kindergarten Owlets

I love starting off the school year with a Kindergarten project centered around ripping/tearing paper. These owlets are so fun and unique! This project took two forty minute art classes to complete.

First, we drew a large oval to create the owlet. Next, we drew ears and wings. Then we ripped brown paper and glued it down to create feathers.

Finally, we added details such as eyes, legs, and a beak.

Wow! These little artists are working hard!

Self-Portraits

Kindergarten and 1st Grade Self-Portraits

This is ME on my first day of Art class for the 2016-2017 school year!

I love to see how my students see themselves!

I started this first-day-of-art activity last year with my Kindergarten students. My idea is to have students complete one each year at BBYS.
It will be a wonderful way to see their artistic abilities change and grow.
